Born and raised in the Bay Area (yes, a real native Californian!), I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from San Francisco State University. When I finally realized I wasn't going to be in the 4% who actually made a living acting, I turned to teaching the performing arts. After receiving my Single Subject in English and Physical Education from San Francisco State University, I spent ten years at the high school level teaching drama and dance. During this time, I entered into leadership roles as a department and School Improvement Program chairperson and returned to school to earn my Administrative Credential and Masters in Educational Leadership from California State University, Hayward. After four years as a high school assistant principal, three of those years at San Ramon Valley High School, I turned to the middle school level at Stone Valley. My goal is to become an elementary or middle school principal with San Ramon Valley Unified School District.
